When Car and Driver magazine decided to conduct a comparison test of "Do-it-All Compact Pickups," they brought the Honda Ridgeline RTS, Chevrolet Colorado LS, Dodge Dakota SLT, Nissan Frontier LE and Toyota Tacoma SR5 to the severe trails of the Panamint mountain range near Death Valley. After countless switchbacks on rocky trails not for the faint of heart, the 2006 Honda Ridgeline garnered first-place honors.
